The Life Lessons
I have never learned so much from a novel. This classic truly expanded my view of the world and human nature. For instance, it describes how we are the worse versions of ourselves to our loved ones—perhaps because there is a sense of security in that they won’t leave. At least, this is my interpretation of a relationship in the book! This is one of my all-time favorites and that is saying something :’)
The Setting
The novel is set in a world of ‘absurdity.’ You feel like you’re constantly experiencing reality shocks! Some of the normalizing culture of this book is very different from typical societal norms, but at the same time, this is exactly what is interesting. It is a new perspective, a new way of looking at life from an extreme point of absurdism. I enjoyed it!
One thing I wasn't a fan of:
To be completely honest, it was QUITE dense at first. The writing is slow and confusing at times. You need to be persistent and truly read between the lines to dive into this book and what it has to offer to you :) Patience is key!!
