Review

One thing I liked:

Trope: Iā€™ve always been a HUGE fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope. Ever since I read about Draco Malfoy and Hemione Granger in Harry Potter, Iā€™ve been obsessed with the bad boy going good for the good girl. In this book, this trope added excitement and kept me engaged!Ā

One thing I wasn't a fan of:

Sometimes, I want something simple with a twist. A sweet and lovely romance.

Although I enjoyed the book, there were some parts that were too dramatic for me. I felt like I was watching a reality TV showā€”the characters felt scripted, unrealistic, and over-the-top. At times, this aspect would almost snap me outĀ of the plot. I couldnā€™t get behind the drama.Ā

However, I know thereā€™s a large group of people that absolutely adore this book! Many have claimed that it got them out of a reading slump and I can definitely see why. Personally, it wasnā€™t the best choice to get out of my reading slump, but it might be for you :)
