Review
One thing I liked:
Trope: Iāve always been a HUGE fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope. Ever since I read about Draco Malfoy and Hemione Granger in Harry Potter, Iāve been obsessed with the bad boy going good for the good girl. In this book, this trope added excitement and kept me engaged!Ā
One thing I wasn't a fan of:
Sometimes, I want something simple with a twist. A sweet and lovely romance.
Although I enjoyed the book, there were some parts that were too dramatic for me. I felt like I was watching a reality TV showāthe characters felt scripted, unrealistic, and over-the-top. At times, this aspect would almost snap me outĀ of the plot. I couldnāt get behind the drama.Ā
However, I know thereās a large group of people that absolutely adore this book! Many have claimed that it got them out of a reading slump and I can definitely see why. Personally, it wasnāt the best choice to get out of my reading slump, but it might be for you :)
