Review

Character Development

I loved seeing the character development of old and new characters. We see Celaena grow to become a queen. We see Chaol regain some of that confidence and come to terms with his actions. We were also introduced to newer characters who allowed for the development of older characters like Celaena and Chaol.

Romance

I love seeing the gradual tension grow between Rowan and Caelena. It feels different from how Caelena’s other relationships progressed. This relationship is slower—it is almost a tease. It adds a sense of excitement to the series. 

One thing I wasn't a fan of

To be honest, I really enjoyed this book! There were interesting additions to the plot that developed the characters further. There’s nothing I wasn’t a fan of.
