Review

The Plot Twists BLEW my mind

This novel genuinely, genuinely, GENUINELY blew my mind with its plot twists. The plot twists were so unexpected and yet—so relevant to the characters involved. I think everyone has to read this book at some point in their lives: it gives insight into how modern society can fail us.

Interesting Points of View

The points of view for this storyline are Olivia (Asher’s mom) and Lily (Asher’s girlfriend). I found these perspectives to initially be quite random—almost as if the authors picked characters out of a hat. However, I was wrong. The choice to have these perspectives was very purposeful.

One thing I wasn't a fan of:

Some things were left unresolved. I want to know more about Asher and his anger issues. I want to know why Olivia doubted Asher. I want to know how Olivia was treated by her husband. I want to know what happened to Lily’s dad. I want to know more.
