Review
Two things I loved:
The writing style
Hazelwood’s writing style has got to be one of my favorites; it is perfect for getting out of a reading slump. The book is relatively fast-paced and provides just enough for you to grasp the plot. This was one of my quickest reads this year thus far—I couldn’t stop flipping through the book. I really enjoyed it!
The Science
As a science student myself, I am most definitely biased in my rating of this book. But then again, I am her target audience so maybe not! All I know is that I loved the inside jokes here and there about science topics I’ve learned throughout my undergrad. I would audibly laugh out loud when I picked up on her jokes and I loved that!
One thing I wasn't a fan of:
The plot ‘twists’ were extremely predictable. Right off the bat, you could tell how the story was going to unravel. Perhaps that was the intention? Maybe Hazelwood wanted us to know something the characters didn’t. I’m not too sure. Even with the predictable plots, I would read this book 1000x over. It didn’t blow my mind with crazy, incredible plot twists, but I still enjoyed it immensely.
