Review
One thing I liked:
Plot twists
The last 100 pages of this book had my mind spinning around the orbit at the speed of lightning—that’s how crazy it gets. From plot twists involving characters to the setting of the book, it gets quite crazy. These twists made the book a quick read: I kept wanting to know what was next.
One thing I wasn't a fan of:
I was so confused at the start of the book. Armentrout didn’t introduce the world well; I didn’t know the hierarchy or the setting at all. It felt like nothing was explained. In fact, even the main romantic relationship made no sense at all—you didn’t even get much of it in the first 100 or so pages.
I don’t know. It just seemed to lack a lot of the typical storytelling elements, especially at the beginning.
