Review
One thing I loved:
1. A classic romance
This book had me squealing out loud every chapter—I think that’s all you need to know. It is one of those classic boy-next-door tropes that always string your heart along. If you like a sweet, cringe (in the best way possible) romance, this is definitely it!
2. More than a simple romantic relationship
Painter develops several important relationships in this book. We see the character find romance, while also grieving her mother during important milestones of her life. We see the protagonist navigate her new relationship with her stepmother. She also struggles to balance her relationship with her best friends in the midst newfound romance.
One thing I wasn't a fan of:
I loved this book because it felt comfortable! A go-to romance if you will. But at the same time, it felt too comfortable like I needed something new. I wish there was a twist to the story—something to throw everything off balance and redefine a new style of romance.
