How to Feel Good in your Body

Introduction

Some days, we feel confident. Other days, not so much 💫

Often, we compare ourselves to those around us and feel poorly about ourselves. This is due to how we are built by society always to compete, always to be the best. Unfortunately, this mindset may lead to us feeling extremely insecure. For instance, sometimes I feel insecure about my nose because it looks big 💬

However, everyone is unique, which we need to understand. We need to appreciate our individuality. Within this blog, I’ve compiled three methods that I use to feel good about myself on those days when I feel discouraged. Hopefully, these can be of use to you, too! 💗

1. Morning Routine

On these days, your morning routine becomes very important—it is a routine. Essentially, doing what you’d do on a day that you don’t feel insecure during these difficult times can reframe your mindset 🌤

In other words, by simply doing those simple things that keep you happy in the morning, you can alleviate those insecurities: you’re holding onto your daily routine. Personally, my morning routine comprises a cup of coffee, meditation and some planning! This keeps me sane on days where I feel insecure 🌻

Do what makes you happy in the morning :)

2. Clothing

Your outfit for the day has the potential to transform your perception of yourself. Trust me, it does! ☝

So, I suggest that you choose an outfit that you feel confident and comfortable in— something that makes you feel good when you wear it! This can honestly be anything. It could be a fancy outfit, sweatpants, etcetera! The key point is simply that YOU need to feel good about it 🙈

It is as simple as that! Something YOU feel good in 💖

3. Affirmations

Simple affirmations can often enhance self-love 🌳

Affirmations are a way of gaining confidence in yourself by essentially complimenting yourself! You don’t even need to believe what you’re saying at first because you’ll eventually come to feel it after hearing it or writing over and over again! 😅

📌 Here are some examples:

“I am beautiful.”

“I love myself.”

“I look amazing.”

Affirmations can be anything, anything at all!

Side note: Try verbally saying affirmations to your reflection in a mirror 💭

I wish you luck in your journey to self-love! I know it can be difficult, but you got this.

Push through 💛
