Introduction
We all have a morning routine đ»Some of us run around frantically trying to get ready while others take their time preparing for the day đ
Regardless of the description that fits you best, there are a few things that everyone one of us should try and incorporate into our morning routine. Why? It is important to start off your day grounded to not only have an amazing day, but also to improve your quality of life đŁ
Within this blog, I suggest several things that you should consider incorporating into your morning routine! Letâs take a look đ
1. Water
đ§Do you know how much water you should drink every day? Well, on a daily basis men need 15.5 cups (3.7 L) and women need 11.5 cups (2.7 L) of water (Mayo Clinic, 2020).
Isnât that a lot of water? I definitely think it is đ
An easy way to accomplish this water goal is by incorporating it into your morning routine. The night before, prepare a glass of water at your bedside. When you wake up in the morning, chug this whole glass of water. Trust me, it will be easier than you think! â
đChugging a glass of water has its benefits:
After drinking no water during the night, a glass of water in the morning is extremely refreshing!
Chugging water reduces your grogginess in the morning.
Youâll have to pee right after! This forces you to wake up right away, and aids in your productivity.
Definitely give this one a try in your morning routine!
2. Make your Bed
Making your bed is a tedious task. Most people despise it since youâll be wrecking your work when you take a nap in the afternoon or sleep at night. đŁ So, why bother making your bed?
Well, the action of making your bed in the morning helps you start off your day productive. It has to do with psychology! Your room becomes cleaner in an instant and you feel an odd sense of accomplishment from this small action. Making your bed helps you start a productive day! đł
Thatâs why you should bother making your bed. đŒ
3. Meditate
Have you ever mediated? Iâm sure youâve heard of meditation! In the past several years, meditation has become increasingly popular for mental health purposes. This is exactly why you should meditate in the morning! đ
Mediation has proven to have so many benefits: improve your concentration, focus, and productivity. Overall, it is a great tool for those looking to improve their well-being!
And the best part isâŠ
Itâs so flexible! đ
If you have the time, meditation can be 20 minutes. If youâre running late, it only needs to be five minutes. There are even guided meditation apps!đĄ
It is really up to you what your meditation will look like đ

4. Journal
Now this one is for those with a little more time for their morning routineđŁ
Often, we wake up in the morning already thinking about something; thoughts from the night before can linger and create a negative atmosphere in the morningâł
Journaling in the morning has proven to alleviate this stress. Simply write down the thoughts and worries that awaken you. It is as simple as that!
This little act acknowledges your worries in the morning, which allows you to nearly dissociate yourself from this issue. In other words, journaling gives you a little breather in the morning! â
Therefore, please give this a try! It will definitely improve your quality of life :)
