1. Take a deep breath! Breathing is like second nature to us. It’s not every day that we think about breathing—this would be quite tiresome. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. It can help us calm down and reduce anxiety.
2. Pause for a minute and enjoy small aspects of the day. How’s the weather outside? Can you hear the birds chirping? Look around you to notice the small aspects that makes you smile!
3. Stress ball! This is one of my favourite ways to handle stress. Squeeze all your stress away!
4. Don’t forget to have breakfast. I’m definitely not a morning person. Despite that, I try to have breakfast to
5. Play with you furry friends! Pets can provide emotional support simply by being your friendly companion.
6. Yoga or Pilates. A little bit of exercise in the day helps to feel better about yourself and trust me, your body will thank you.
7. Start your day with a cup of tea or coffee. Too much caffeine might not be good for you, but a cup of coffee or tea can help you start your day on a good mood!
8. Get a good night’s rest. I understand. It can be difficult to find time for sleep especially during your busy final exam season. However, it is extremely important for you to sleep well (ideally 7-9 hours!) for a refreshing morning
9. Share kindness. Being kind to someone will make you feel better! Treat someone the way you want to be treated yourself!
10. Smile! Never forget to smile :)
You can find happiness from the smallest aspects of your life! What really matters is your mindset. Start your day on the right foot with a positive mindset
